Repairing Oil, L'Occitane (4/5)

This oil is recommended to help repair split ends and damaged hair.  This can be used on dry hair to soak in and repair or to protect from sun damage during the day. It is not too thick and not too sticky, but it does remain on the hair through the first couple of washes.  I used it at night on my ends and a small patch on the scalp to see how it nourished overnight.

After my morning shower the oil had not washed out fully, in a good way, for the ends still felt like they had some repairing 'glue' on the strands. Not so good for the scalp that looked greasy until two further shampoos.  There is no mention on the packaging to use on the scalp, I just tried it.

However the recommendations are to use it on 'hair' not just the ends but it needs to be more clear on the packaging; to use 'before shampoo','before drying' or 'on dry hair' – I would only massage this into the ends. This repairing oil contains some sweet almond oil in addition to sunflower seed oil, orange oil, lavender oil, angelica root oil and others….. A good combination of natural oils with a floral scent and seals the ends well.
