Aromatic Shower & Bath oil, Cinq Mondes (5/5)

One of my favourite shower products. Here is a perfect marriage between an oil and a shower gel.  It is oily on contact, but amazingly still creates a luxurious creamy lather. There is a range of different scents and one is often drawn simply to which colour you like the best.

However with essential oils, do try and 'sniff' out the scent you are most attracted to; those ingredients will be what your body needs at that time. There are different oils used in each 'ritual' of this collection, their names are associated with various parts of the world. I tried the 'ritual de Java' containing eucalyptus and cinnamon leaf (essential oil content). This range has no silicon or mineral oil added. No artificial colouring, no paragons or phenoxyethanol; It is all organic straight from mother nature.

Due to the oil content during showering you can see that despite foaming and cleansing, the product leaves a very light layer of moisture on the skin.  The warmth of the shower also helps the skin absorb the moisture. As Cinq Mondes notes the upper layers of the epidermis are reached.  I can vouch for the fact that if you have to rush off and do not have time to add moisturiser to your body, you still feel silky and gently scented.

Don't rub your skin dry, pat instead to maintain as much moisture as possible. The remaining layer is absorbed very quickly so you will not feel sticky and can get dressed straight away.
